Couples often call and say "We just want a simple wedding - nothing too fancy...can you do that?" While the phrases "simple wedding" and "nothing too fancy" mean different things to every couple, the simple answer is yes, she can and will help you with that. If you're legally able to wed, she will joyfully support you.
Chanelle specializes in custom ceremonies for elopements (the couple, their witnesses & photographers) and intimate weddings (micro-weddings -10-30 guests and minimony's - up to 10 guests) set in natural settings; it is the Pacific Northwest, after all. A custom ceremony is one that Chanelle creates with you to fit your personalities, the story of your relationship and your vision for your ideal wedding. That's it in a nutshell.
Chanelle is legally ordained through the Universal Life Church in Seattle and American Marriage Ministries, which are both recognized organizations to ordain ministers in Washington, Oregon and Idaho, so you can be assured that your marriage will be legal and valid. As a minister, she happily officiates non-denominational Christian weddings, however, most of the weddings she officiates are non-religious or multi-cultural.
Whether you've got plenty of time because your wedding is a year away, or it's right around the corner and you need an officiant right away (or somewhere in the middle), talk to Chanelle.
Even though her calendar stays pretty full throughout the year, Chanelle is also often available on short notice. If she isn't available for some reason, she will gladly help you find another officiant. If you are looking for a wedding officiant for your elopement or intimate wedding ceremony please contact Chanelle.
An initial meeting (virtually or in-person – mostly virtually right now):
We will talk about your wants and don’t wants, the ceremony creation process and what working with me feels like, and then determine if we’re the right fit for each other.
If we are the right fit:
I email you a link to an electronic contract, you sign it and pay the $150 retainer fee, and I am locked in for your date and time! All done on-line with ease.
I will lead you through every step:
The ceremony creation process, the "how you get your marriage license,"and all of the other needed details to ensure you are legally married.
I am here for you!
Everything can be done electronically and remotely:
I want it to be an easy process, no matter where you live and how busy your full life already is.
You will have a couple of assignments from me:
Because it would be tough for me to create a ceremony that is a perfectly you, without your input. Your input helps me make sure every part of the ceremony reflects your personalities and allows me to share your story.
Assistance with writing or choosing your vows:
Vows can be scary, you know wanting to get them just right, so I make sure I give you plenty of guidance, suggestions, and samples too – if you want them.
Fine-tuning the draft ceremony to your ideal ceremony:
We work together to make sure it all fits your personalities as a couple and represents your vision for your ideal ceremony. We go until we get it just right for you.
Remember, your wedding is all about YOU.
Your ceremony delivered by me with the emotion that it deserves:
I am truly honored to be celebrating you and YOUR marriage so I promise to be professional, punctual, caring and at my best!
Taking care of your marriage license for you:
After your wedding, I take care of promptly submitting your license, either by hand or by certified mail (depending on the issuing county of the license) and make sure a certified copy is sent to you.
Immediate important details follow-up:
I will email you details about getting additional certified copies of your marriage certificate and doing your name change (if either or both of you are
changing). I will also send you a non certified copy of the submitted license and a text with the tracking number.
As part of the celebration of your marriage, you also receive a hand crafted wood ring box to use at your ceremony and to keep afterwards - to keep your wedding ring safe during those times you have to take it off; a copy of your final ceremony script, a beautiful souvenir certificate that I create for you and a surprise gift from me. I also keep in touch on your monthaversary and anniversary for as long as you enjoy having me celebrate your marriage with you!
My pricing is simple since I only do it one way - a customized ceremony created specifically for you, with your story.
$450.00 USD - This covers all the time dedicated to writing and designing a customized ceremony that truly celebrates you and your very special, one of a kind relationship. It also includes as much guidance and communication as needed, as well as the time prepping for and officiating your ceremony. Also included is mileage and travel up to two hours from Omak, WA. Your retainer is subtracted from this amount.
Please Note - I happily offer a discount to active military couples and first responders, so please let me know if you are.
Additional services, such as travel beyond approximately two hours from zip code 98841, or attendance at the rehearsal, may be extra (the reason for this is that most rehearsals are on a different day than the wedding ceremony - if I am at your rehearsal, I am unavailable to officiate a wedding on that day).
